anyone own property in the carribbean?
 

I just got back from a great vacation in the Dominican Republic.. I took a few rides through the actual towns and countryside.. life there is definitely not easy.. but anyway, one thing i did notice were small gated communities that were RIGHT next to large resorts... Many of these were very very close to the beach/oceanview.. i looked up some prices online and they dont seem too steep, and i'm sure they can be bargained..

anyway whats your thoughts on this? anyone own something like this? know someone?
