its just a matter of choice. there is no such thing as a bug-free program. if there was any other alternative and more effective application than icq, then everyone would be more willing to use them. icq has been the industry standard and can't afford to lose close to 200 client contacts :2 cents:

Well, thats the running point isnt it? If AOL would have played their cards better, there would have been no yim, msn, skype, gtalk-crap. I love icq and really think its the best (skype close 2nd) but think about it - all great features has been there since 98 or so. Wtf did they do the last 8 years besides adding skinning, icons and shit? :2 cents:

good point, not much of a big leap from their previous versions. main reason why i chose to upgrade is to patch any flaws on their olders releases and prevent or lessen any downtimes as much as possible, which has been the biggest seatback for icq users so far.

The history on version 5 sucks ass you can't even search thru it. I stock with 2003b for that reason.
