Detroit vs. Miami, who wins tonight?

Who's going to win tonight, Detroit or Miami? I'm going with Detroit tonight, and in 6 games

King Adam 05-23-2006 04:59 PM

I take Miami. They had a lot of rest. But I like Detroit to win the series.

Scott McD 05-23-2006 04:59 PM

Miami...

gimo33 05-23-2006 05:00 PM

detroit....

The Demon 05-23-2006 05:03 PM

Reasons? King Adam was the only one to give one. I give it to Detroit because they turned their D on in the second half, and I think they're going to carry that into this series. Make no mistake, if Detroit plays it's game the way it did during the regular season and in that last half of Game 7, Miami doesn't stand a chance. Either way this will be a good series, since it's been the most awaited this year.

StickyGreen 05-23-2006 05:05 PM

detroit is gonna step it up for sure after letting the cavs take them to game 7...

King Adam 05-23-2006 05:07 PM

Detroit does have the best defense in the league .. hands down. They have the experience and the team play to beat anyone. They had to best record in the NBA. I can't see any other team beating them in a series this year.

But tonight .... look for D Wade to come out on fire and tear it up. The Pistons defense was good in game $7 but the Cavs shot like 25% the second half. I don't see Miami shooting less than 45% - 50% tonight.

Miami wins by 7 tonight. Final score 92 - 85

Miami will win it in 7

The Demon 05-23-2006 07:29 PM

Well I'm wrong again. HOnestly, I don't know what to say. I can't fathom how a team goes from being the best in the NBA to being the most embarassing team in the playoffs night after night. The heat don't even need Shaq and Wade for them to win the series. The Pistons have a half assed defense and a non existent offense. I don't know what the hell happened to their hungry mentality but they'll be out of this one in 4-5 if they don't play. I've just about lost all faith in them, it's just embarassing to watch them play.

When are you going to learn to listen to me. I predicted a 7 point victory at 92 - 85.

Final score 91 - 86 ... that has to tell you I know what I'm talking about.

You just base your decisions on only a couple factors and not the right ones. If you listened to me, you would have won some money tonight like I did. If you get smart you listen to my Game 2 pick ... I already know who's going to win.

Spunky 05-23-2006 07:48 PM

They will come back..atleast I hope so

The Demon 05-23-2006 07:49 PM

I know basketball don't tell me I don't. How many people in this world expected the Pistons to fully collapse in the middle of the playoffs? I didn't and despite being a Cleveland fan, neither did you. I have no faith in them to win the series if they play like this. They can only win if they play their game and I don't remember seeing that.

You don't know hoops .. hate to break it to you. They haven't collapsed at all. They are the kind of team that plays at the level as the team they play. I never said Cleveland would win the series against Detroit. I wanted them to win but I never thought they would. They have been playing awesome hoops and could have beaten Cleveland in 5 games but 2 points each game changed that.

Detroit will beat Miami in the series. 4 games to 2 or 3. I'll let you know after I see the next game .. but they will be in the finals.

Skip all the faith shit ... thats for religious people not sports fans :thumbsup

Bdiddy 05-23-2006 07:54 PM

My vote is Detroit. I never believe teams with a whole lot of rest have the edge.

The Demon 05-23-2006 07:56 PM

I do know hoops trust me, I just let my emotions take place in front of everything. I'm still recovering from the Spurs series.. They have collapsed dude, how can you say they play at the other team's level, when the Heat played very well today, and the Pistons didn't bother to show up.

Dude .. the Pistons just finished a tough 7 game series against Cleveland while Miami had all this time to rest. How could you possibly think Detroit would win. You are nuts I think.

Detroit didn't play that bad either .. they were just a bit tired. They still have one of the best defenses in the league. Besides the first quarter, Detroit played with them the whole time.

Vitasoy 05-23-2006 07:58 PM

Detriot will win the series, but looks like the heat won today

The Demon 05-23-2006 08:00 PM

King Adam, you forgot their nonexistent offense that lead them to 64 regular season victories.
