Anybody use Verizon's BroadbandAccess?

Checking this out for either a new phone or to get the pcmcia card for my laptop. Anybody using this? What's the service like?

I have fios-dsl at the house and it's pretty fast. Haven't used their mobile broadband yet. :2 cents:

I have their wireless broadband for my laptop so I can hit the road and still be able to take care of customer service issues.

One of the best investments I have ever made.

That sounds nice, just out of curiosity, what kind of speeds do you get and what is their monthly rate for that?

Do your research on this. Verizon is strict about their EVDO and the bandwidth. They will cap you out or turn you off if your downloading to much. At least that's what i gather from all the complaints i've read. They seem very random though on who they go after. Some people get letters, while others don't. So don't take my word for it.

I went through Sprint to get this service since they don't cap anything (so far)....and i use Sprints EVDO service constantly with my Tablet. So far so good...nice and fast and pretty solid.

Well, I signed up yesterday for $68 total (incl. hardware) and have a $50 mail in rebate. $60/month for the service. Not the fastest service, but I also don't have the best coverage at my place. Two weeks to decide if I want to keep it if I don't want to pay an early term fee.

I am sorry, but I haven't tested the speed. It is fast enough for what I am doing, which is primarily taking care of customer service issues while on the road. I am not doing anything really strenuous with it.

As far as cost, I think I pay $70-90 for it. No more than $90. It was well worth it for my needs.
