How do they get away with having all that content on there that is not there's

i am not sure, a friend of mine just sent me the link and asked me how was it possible for them to have so much porn on there that is not their's, then it made me wonder why as there is no links back to other sites.

It seems to me that they go and steel content from all adult sites and then sell memberships to their site for content that they have ripped of.

something needs to be done about sites like this

I'm guessing because nobody has ever contacted them about it yet. Find something where the girl looks under 18, then forward it on to them asking for some 2257's and forward it to associations like ACASCP or whatever it is.

i think i will start going through their shit everyday and post a list on all the boards for programs that have their shit on there.

But why should companies hit you up to have their stuff taken down? If you don't have the rights to it you shouldn't have it up. It's great to see that you are buying your own content, Delete everything else and just use that.

i have talked to lesbodojo on icq. she has informed me that skinvideo is moving away from usenet feeds. we all know that there are 1000's of them out there. i have a very strong NG and P2P background and I am very familiar with setting up news services and the learning curve that it takes to do so. not every tom dick and harry can do it. thats why its still tolerated. skinvideo/supported by guba takes the learning curve from the process and ultimately makes it possible for even the most inept person to access anything that is uploaded to the binaries.

here is where they messed up

1) attempted to lie down in the bed where the content is produced. that content is subsequently offered to consumers with no compensation to the people who created it. probably the dumbest thing i have ever seen a company do.

2) attempted to lure affiliates that were promoting programs that produce that content into a scenario where the content producer is cut out and the affiliate gets to sell a la buffet style to all genres of content with one pass.

3) reformatting of the producers content to other formats. ipod etc.

kathleen has been very cooperative, i will not take that away from her.

for the time being guba is still linking to a site that is offering up usenet feeds that gives access to content that is not paid for. affiliates are still sending traffic to this network in turn fucking all of us content producers.

i have been assured by her that the usenet feeds will go away and that members will not be able to upload content that does not belong to them. how the hell they are gonna control that is anyones guess. i see it as impossible. being that the average tolerated clip size for promo material is 30 secs or so, i don't know how they will police some asshole uploading stuff that is whackable and thus cause them not to join our sites where the content resides that was actually paid for by the site publishing it.

i believe kathleen, and i will be the first to accept them once they have a business model that does not fuck over the very people who produce the content that they peddle.

anyone foggy on this issue can icq me and i will break it down for you from the producers standpoint.


i told kathleen i wll not bash them anymore. i would like to know a timeframe of when this will be accomplished.

i will hold off on bashing them for her. she is a nice lady and doesnt deserve it, her company however is putting her in a very difficult position.

Why not just take all of it down, its not yours, you dont own it, get rid of it all, its great that your buying content now, but it still does not change the fact that you have 1000s of stolen content on your site

what i've been wondering for a long time. no one has yet admitted sending them traffic, but i know some do. wish i knew who the enemies are.

Several have admitted it here and one boldly admits it on another board while proudly talking about all the money he earns each week plus all the commissions he earns from newbie, impressionable webmasters he's set up to sell our stolen content.

I can think of lots of sites who send them traffic, as they've all been removed from my trades and blacklisted.

If all the people who were against this company started removing trades with scum who promote them, we could make a dent.

But, the almightly dollar speaks, right?

Fat chance. Everyone bitches but few do anything. How many people here who continually post FUCK GUBA!! have a trade with a site that has GUBA search boxes right on their site? I've turned down trades and explained why and have had sites stop promoting GUBA once they learned the truth. The problem is few really know what they offer, and yes, I know they only offer a portal and there are others who do it, blah blah blah, but most others don't charge a fee and none of the others have an affiliate program so scum-sucking webmasters can earn their $7 per signup (whopee!!).

Face it, if a webmaster is getting 25k hits a day from a trade and that trade uses GUBA, they aren't going to remove it.

Maybe they don't know cuz they havn't model's ID's but I even saw some underage webcam movie content there too. I know for sure at least 2 girls there having 15 and 16 yo and got banned from lot's of blogs already. Don't you ever read something about 2257 Skinvideo team ?

Okay -- here it is months later and obviously skinvideo is still selling memberships with the lure of stolen content and forcing people to waste their time policing your site and writing to you to remove content stolen from us.

In the past two days we've found 24 videos ripped out of our members-only areas and posted on skinvideo, and those are only the ones we know about.

We are a couple running a small and very personal business so this is really insulting AND a huge waste of time for us; we don't have a special team of 19 year old wankers we can afford to hire specifically to monitor crap sites like skinvideo. I don't want to hit up some unethical asshole on icq to politely "ask" them to do me the favor of removing content that doesn't belong to them.
