FACT: Hurricane Katrina Was More Devestating Than 9-11

I've been thinking...
Which one of these disasters was more devestating...

We've seen explosions and terrorism before (all the time if you look at TV/Movies)
But I just don't think we as a nation were prepared to see an ENTIRE city shut down, people dead and dying in the streets, people hungry and rioting in AMERICA

The 2004 Sumatra-Andaman Tsunami & Earthquake killed 230,000 people, injured 125,000 people, left 45,000 people still missing and unaccounted for, and left 1.7 Million people homeless.

I'd say that was by far the worse single catastrophe I can think of in my lifetime.

Yeh that kind of event is scary as hell because it can happen anytime anywhere with zero warning and so many people in the world in coastal cities.

Imagine if a huge meteor ever hits the Atlantic ocean near Europe or the USA. Scientists think the wave it could generate could be thousands of feet high and a monster meteor 20 miles wide could displace all the water for hundreds of miles and hit ocean bottom. Waves could be miles high.

It's funny water is the most essential thing for life and the most destructive.

I hear ya KRL...
My thing is after hurricane katrina and also the tsunami
I have to question EVERYTHING I've previously been taught about God...

I think there is a God due to this awesome experience of being alive, living, eating, breathing, heart pumping, and sleeping on this spinning rock everyday as the sun continues to emit it's energy as the moon stands by in the distance and effects the tides as the rain falls and evaporates as vapor mist and gathers in the sky as clouds to begin it's process again....

It's an awesome experience here....
So it leads me to believe there is a Higher Power or Supreme Being...
But I think we know less than 1% about this supreme being....
