If you're buying pagerank, be very careful and check it for yourself.

For instance, someone is selling a PR 8 link on ebay (free-seek***.com).

Problem: how do you know if told PR is real?

To detect Fake Pagerank, simply use Google's cache.
The cache will not be that of the site with Fake PR, it will be the site with the actual PR.

To do that, type:
http://66.249.93.104/searchttp://www...ithFakePR.com/
( or go to http://www.seologs.com/pr-check/pagerank.html )

For the above ebay example, we see that in fact that the site is cloaking http://www.valueclick.com/ PR8.
