But he's going psycho biserk over every little fireworks noise. I can't imagine what's gonna happen tonight since everyone will be breaking out the illegal indian fireworks everywhere.

Anyone know what I could do? It's too late to get a cocktail from the vet.

Yeah, it's kinda like torture for them. Perhaps a drive to the country?

My chihuahua is the same way. Actually worse.... a knock on the door sets her off.

hope your puppy is ok tonight.. i'm not in US, so fireworks won't be a problem for me. My problem is shit and pee everywhere... I take him for a walk around 20 blocks, and he does nothing, but as soon as we get back he happily leaves me a present in the kitchen. :disgust

Haha funny you say that.. the knocking sound my icq makes will set him off most of the time.

I'd take him more out in the country but then it'll be worse cuz that's where it's legal right now.

you can get a liquid sedative at a pet store to ad to his water bowl if they are open.

give him a beer - makes him drunk first, then sleeping. no kidding. works excellent

Yesterday, instead of running away from home, my parents' dog ran home from his walk and begged at the door. My mom thought something had happened to my dad... he was out looking for the dog for half an hour and my mom had to find him.

Put him in the closet/basement or the quietest place and then go have fun. He'll get used to it and get over it.
