Grats on your post count, and now a story that you and everybody else will undoubtedly enjoy:
Ideally we all would like to create something that is greater than ourselves. Whether this is a great poem, pieces of music, artwork, religion, or even a great nation? we all strive to create something that is greater than us. If we can create something that is seemingly larger than life then we are guaranteed immortality through those works of art that we have created, for as long as our works are read or stared upon, then the creator never truly dies. This and this alone is the purpose that the greatest of the greats exist today. Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson.... The same goes for nearly all artists in existence, from founding of a nation to creating a bronze intricate statue. In life their works go largely unnoticed but many years later, after thousands upon thousands of humans have glanced upon their works do they truly become appreciated. And this is wherein the problem lies. Whether it is from those who founded our country to those who helped to free those who were forced into slavery (GO LINCOLN!), their great deeds are in danger of being expunged from history like a candle being blown out during the night.
We, the human race, are facing a trial by fire. We face the greatest threats in our lifetime that our ancestors could never imagine. We have seen horrors so awful that not even science fiction could have prediction them. In short, we as a human race face extinction within our children?s life time. Cats of all sizes are pooling in numbers, poising to strike at our very way of life. Slowly but surely the feline menace has grown over the past several decades, mainly due to more humans rallying to the likes of PETA and ALF. They believe they are doing the world a favor ? they believe they are fighting for pro-cat rights. Instead they are fighting for cat superiority over humankind. They don?t understand that once the feline overlords in place that they themselves will no longer be necessary and they themselves will share the same fate as all of humanity. Our great nation, ALL great nations of the world, all of humanity?s great achievements from the majestic to the mundane are all in peril. The line must be drawn here, we must stop the evil feline machine NOW! Take up arms brothers: The cat menace is upon us!
