One day 25 sign ups next day 5, what the hell??

Same traffic, same sites...and don't tell me summer slowdown, (it simply does not exist)

I process with verotel and starting to wonder if that have something to do with them. Don't get me wrong I used verotel since 2001 and not trying to bash them, just wondering if other verotel merchants are experiencing "25 vs. 5 sales day"

And does anyone experience this with ccbill?

OG LennyT 07-06-2006 03:08 AM

I had 10 sales in a month with Fleshlight and 1 the next with the same traffic... chalk it up to bad luck I guess

madawgz 07-06-2006 03:08 AM

ouch, thats a serious drop :\

coulb be but not likely

who would shave 9 out of 10 sales?

that would fall under the category- stupidity.

Nicky 07-06-2006 05:21 AM

happens, it's worse if you see 5 sales today again

Trent Edison 07-06-2006 05:33 AM

Id get drunk if i saw this kind of drop... Not good at all.

BruceM 07-06-2006 05:36 AM

The more sales you make, the more consistent and less erratic your numbers look. You didn't mention if 25 sales was an awesome day for you or just the average, as obviously if you're used to getting 10 to 15 sales a day, and you lucked out with 25, that's different than averaging 25 and experiencing a huge drop.

en21 07-06-2006 05:39 AM

5 and u complaining??? hmmmm

breaker 07-06-2006 05:44 AM

So you do 15 sales per day average..

E$_manager 07-06-2006 05:48 AM

shit happends

scottybuzz 07-06-2006 05:49 AM

Great, man. Getting ready to move back to Florida.

What's up, my brother? :-)

Kimo 07-06-2006 06:19 AM

shit happens i suppose

ffmihai 07-06-2006 07:36 AM

if your traffic is bookmarks, wtf do you expect? they signup today but not every day

Doctor Dre 07-06-2006 07:38 AM

Shit happens ... happened to me too before... sales change so much from day to day... even really big programs feel the changes a LOT.

This is really drastic, but maybe yesterday was your "very lucky" day, and today is your "bad" day.

Tom_PM 07-06-2006 07:42 AM

With just those 2 days to go by, nobody can give much insight I'd say. Whats your YTD average? Whats your high/low? Any other occurences of a decent day followed by crap and vice versa? Those are all things I'd check first anyway. Goodluck.

Basic_man 07-06-2006 07:43 AM

That's one big drop.. but there's nothing impossible.

Choppa 07-06-2006 07:44 AM

yeah it is bad news but can we always blame the merchant . Are there any diiferences in demographics major stats from one day to the other ???

ie 4th of July

SHGB, are you processing as an owner or is your sponsor processing with Verotel?
If you're processing as an owner, check since when your 25 new members were able to login - maybe it was for transactions the night before but they were able to process it or update the sales only on the next day.

Nope. I'm with Verotel as well (for my celebrity sites) and sales have been rawking the past 3 weeks straight. No ups or downs. So it's not a Verotel issue I do not think.

:2 cents:

pussyluver 07-06-2006 08:00 AM

Jesus loves porn stars, but not site owners. Simple as that. We all see wide fluctuations on any given program. As an affiliate I have taken the approach of spreading risk across many sponsors. Maybe to many? Anyway, when one is up another is down. Plus I have a number of sites. I have found the fluctuations month to month less severe with the approach.

It then becomes a matter of developing quality traffic for all sites. Also never run out of work to do and some things go unattended to for awhile that should be fixed...

ridikuloz 07-06-2006 08:14 AM

if I made 5 sales a day, i'd keep my mouth shut and enjoy the money.

Alphonso 07-06-2006 08:18 AM

nothing wrong with that

I think alot of companies will tell you under 100 sales/daily your daily sales total will fluctuate more than you are comfortable with. I don't think it's the processor as much as it is the way the numbers go.

CamsLord 07-06-2006 08:24 AM

ddamn thats a huge drop, i would analyze using campaigns and even try a test signup

I use verotel for a couple of my paysites & it didn't happen to me, even for the July 1-4th holidays time. It's been pretty steady the whole way through. Perhaps it was just a fluky bad day?

fitzmulti 07-06-2006 11:43 AM

But what were the other "surrounding" days, weeks, and months like...

If you normally over a long period of time average 5 - 6 sales a day - then the 25 was just good luck!

If you normally get 20 - 25 a day, then a 5 sale day was bad luck, or a holiday, etc...but the processor may not really have much to do with it.
