Have you ever tried a natural cure for anything and it worked?

I havent.
I tried natural orange peel pills for heartburn and they took the edge off a little, but didnt work. I took the medicine and they work great.
I tried fish oil pills for eczema and those didnt work. But the steroid cream medicine worked.
Coffee is supposed to be great to help prevent alzheimer's, but my father has alzheimer's and he lots of coffee and espresso everyday for decades.

Have any of you tried a natural cure for anything form a health food store or wherever and it worked to cure something?

I heard a natural cure for nymphomaniacal behavior was to get married... worked like a charm. :winkwink:

Hey Click - some natural remedies DO work.... I spent the bulk of my college life working at Fresh Fields (now Whole Foods) - I was all sorts of crunchy back then. LOL.

I think the best herbal remedy I've tried to date is ginger gum for nausea... I took that on a cruise with me last year because I didn't want to be all kinds of doped up on Dramamine and it worked great!

And even though the fish oil didn't work for the eczema, it is supposed to lower your cholesterol, so there ya go!

Personally... yea - ate real food. It stops starvation :winkwink:

Seriously.. there are loads of natural cures for ailments. They existed long before E J Lilly and will be there when E J Lilly is gone.

There are plenty folks around as living proof - one family, parents are in their 90's now, have never been to a doctor in their lives (ah.. apart from one time, they had a doc for a pregnancy) - all "illnesses" were cured by herbs and whatever on the land they owned.

There was a minor accident - girl came flying off a quad and down a hill - she was cut and bruised. First thing they go for is some plant and start rubbing the leaves into the wounds. They knew exactly what to do - and it worked well :)

The contents of some modern pharma products are actually made up from natural material - and loaded with shit to make it "different" and justify a higher price.

Yes I have... My mother is an Ayeurvedic practitioner...

I use Turmeric and Neem for heartburn, Neem in water for my Sun Poisoning, Goldenseal and Echinecia when I am sick, etc...

I haven't been to a "doctor" in about 6 years, which is a good thing. I;ve had no health insurance.

Echinacea is also good for tooth aches caused by infection...since its a natural antibiotic. I often used it years ago when I used to get killer tooth infections constantly.

Most "natural cures" are just junk to pre-occupy yourself with while your body does its own healing.
