pretty bitchin, maya unlimited is out of control, such a good program,i have 20-30hrs use, but nothing that would allow me to make something like that. Very impressive!

themanager 07-10-2006 02:29 AM

notabook 07-10-2006 02:37 AM

Wow that's probably one of the best I've seen!

bringer 07-10-2006 02:51 AM

im thinking sooner than later we'll be seeing full length features in theatres where the viewing audience cant determine if they're watching real actors or cgi. if you're thinking about getting into acting keep your day job

maxxxxx 07-10-2006 02:55 AM

Yeh Mayas a cool application, they used to give the software for free (watermarked content thgough) - may still do.

Yngwie 07-10-2006 03:03 AM

I like Maya. Of course I'm not very good with it lol. 3d Studio Max is pretty cool to.

from what I've seen they don't give a free one anymore. It's quite expensive.

Good call.

Yngwie 07-10-2006 03:09 AM

hmm.. looks like the company that makes 3d studio max bought out Alias (the makers of Maya). Unless they already were the same company.

Sergio_AVAcash 07-10-2006 04:21 AM

XOS_Andrei_G 07-10-2006 04:51 AM

Im sure 3D porn in that sort of detail would sell. You wouldn't even need a model. Just dream one up.

That's pretty hardcore though. I can't begin to imagine the specs on a PC that needs to create that. Source materials and everything.

Scott McD 07-10-2006 04:57 AM

Awsome stuff right there !! :pimp

Right now, to make a believable person would take forever to come up with content. Its far cheaper to just hire models. However, that ratio is changing every day.

Tdog 07-10-2006 06:23 AM

Manowar 07-10-2006 08:17 AM

insane stuff!

calibra 07-10-2006 08:29 AM

Incredible! This just rocks!

teg0 07-10-2006 08:49 AM

3D modeling apps have been at that quality for awhile, its just programs like ZBrush and BodyPaint that really helped texture artists make models look much more realistic, plus light FX such as HDR helps a lot too. It is too the point now where it doesn't matter the program, it just matters on the skills of the artist. Maya is just the 3D app most people are quick to shout out. It is good for some things, and bad for others.

mOrrI 07-10-2006 08:55 AM
