Press Release: DotBidz.com
I invite all of your domain guys to check out my new site. I just finished it up today, and moved it to it's new domain name http://www.dotbidz.com.
DotBidz is a domain auction site, much like eBay strictly for domain names and established websites. As a starting promo, and to test and debug the site, I am giving members to select forums free auction listings for the next 14 days. If you sign up for free, and list your site, you can use all of the premium features for free. At the end of the day I will wipe everyone's account balance back to zero. So post up all of the domains for have for sale now! I hope to get this site established and start doing mass promo on it in the next week or so, once I get a good number of auctions on it. I invite you to check it out. It's a very quick one page sign up, and you can post immedately. There is a category specifically for Adult Domains and Sites. Take a look and let me know what you think. http://www.dotbidz.com. |
why bother if you're gonna reset em back to zero?
does this mean if someone bids on domain, you're resetting it back to zero bids??? I don't understand |
It's the only way I can do it. It's setup like eBay where the premium fees accumulate in your account, with an invoice at the end of the month.
In the admin section I can reset balances, so really you can list with premium features for free. The bids will not be reset, only the balance in your seller account. |

AH.. I gotcha now.. :) looks great & seems like this is going to be a hit if lots of people use it.. I signed up.. Waiting for the activation email.. Fuck, I'll even give you a link on tgptraffic.info |
Let me know if you don't get the email. I'll activate it manually. Some email accounts might throw it in the bulk or spam folders :(
|
I'd suggest an automotive category. Or a sub under travel

What about the fee schedule, do you think it's reasonable? too high? too low??
|
The fee's seem very reasonable..
:1orglaugh my account has already been suspended.. I went over the limit you set.. Did I use too many extra features? |
fixing it right now
|
BTW people.. I've added some domains in this,,
It loads fast... It's very, very easy to use.. fast to setup.. fucking way easier than ebay.. lots of extra features like featured homepage listing, highlighted listing, bold text etc.. You can set reserve price, starting bid, buy it now price, auction length, payment types , etc.. this is a very well setup auction site.. This guys got a great product here & I am certain this is going to become something big.. Get on & take up his offer & try him out for the 14 days he's offering.. I think you're gonna like it... :thumbsup |
Thanks for the good words :) Any problems with the site (other then going over the promo limit, which I didn't know was in effect until then..lol)
|
The site looks complicated to surf and not too user friendly... just a tip.
Yes yes I know, you designed it and it's very easy to surf (for you in your head)... but this is definitly the first impression this site gives. A mess. My :2 cents: :2 cents: |
Thanks for the input Dre :) I'm working on making a more user-friendly template as we speak. But for know it will have to suffice. It's functional, and thats what counts. I'm going to be giving the design a whole new look before I start mass promoting it.

cool site, good luck :thumbsup
|
bump for my newest site
|
another bump
|
Good first day :)
|
I'm thinking maybe I shouldn't have set a reserve & maybe used a shorter auction length,,lol..I got 2 bids,, wonder If I should let it keep running as is?..
what do you think curvestar? The domain in question is pr4 with little traffic, no site, & it's not a premium name imo. btw, it's the one that had to be edited earlier today. |
