Technically, nothing is different about it. I think the PC term is "TS"... also "Pre or Post-Op TS".

tranny is one who has actually gone through a sex change operation

technically, a tranny is just a transvestite - a biological man who acts socially as a woman (clothes, mannerisms, etc.). transvestites always have a penis and usually are in the early stages of hormone therapy to grow breasts. many transvestites are straight.

a shemale is a pre-op transsexual - usually has hormonally grown or implanted breasts, and lives social life completely as a woman. the only thing that makes her a man is the penis. most shemales are "gay" in that they prefer to have sex with men.

a transsexual has had their genitals removed and lives life socialy and physically as a woman. there is little way to tell that she used to be a man (unless you get a blow job from one, and then it's easy to tell).

however, in the world of porn, the terms are interchangable.

It seems that a Tranny is merely a cross dresser. A shemale is somebody who is born with male and female characteristics.

I guess a tranny can become a shemale thru operation though.

I think of "tranny" also as being short hand for "transsexual".
In the same way that "tranny" is short hand for "transmission".

Whatever they mean, they all mean the same thing in porn land.

This is a "Post-op Transexual" or a "Post-op TS". It is legal in most states for them to have their DL changed to say "Sex: F", but they cannot have their birth certificate changed to say anything other than "Sex: male".

The politically correct term is Transgendered. Transvestites and Transsexuals prefer not to be called She-males (that's for the porn industry) and Lady-Boy will get you wacked in the face by some.

Not all TVs (tGirls) take hormones. Hormones make their dicks shrivel up and not function like a normal cum squirting cock. Many enjoy the excitement with tits and a working cock. The real difference between a TV and TS is that the TV would have picked the right shoes for the occasion... To pull off the illusion, the voice has to change. The hormones help with that as does coaching and practice. So that lifestyle has a lot of trade offs.
