do you LIE to get a sale???
we all lie a little bit in this industry to get the sale, but do you lie BIG lies in order to just get the sale? Saying theres more to a members area?? Telling the surfer what they want to hear even though its 90% false???
its easy to lie with PRODUCTS, info-mercials do it all the time. But its different when you're promoting a rebilling site. dont want members to cancel or chargeback. just curious how most peoples "selling technique" works in the biz. :upsidedow |
We stay 100% honest on our tours which keep our chargebacks VERY VERY low.
It seems to me if some people put as much time into their member's areas as they did into their ripoff tours, they'd be making a lot more money (rebills etc.) in the first place. |

Lieing about your members area is only going to make short term gains. You will make a ton more in the long run by just telling the surfer exactly what they are getting.

We don't. If we want to keep our members we must be honest....obvious i know ;)
nope, never lie.
of course not..people will find out your full of shit eventually
I know some affiliates have a tendancy to lie, especially with PPS... all you have to do is convince the surfer to sign up with false promises and let the program worry about retaining them.
You don't have to go any further than dating sites with pornstar pictures or "meet these girls in *INSERT YOUR CITY HERE*" when you know damn well none of those girls live in your city, unless Raven Riley and Jordan Capri have joined dating sites and rented apartments in 1000 cities.
"the hottest girls" when you know that some of the girls aren't all that hot. "The most hardcore movies you will find" but you have never been in the site and will never know for sure.... it goes on and on. Hype combines with desire to sell and that creates misinformation. It is worse on programs that allow webmasters to link directly to the join pages, because then the sales pitch is 100% out of control. When you have to send to the tour, the tour can inform and potentially diffuse pissed off customers before they become pissed off. |
quite a bit of lying on the inner nets
My thoughts on the matter is that if you have to lie, what you're offering isn't good enough.. make it good enough!!
Lying doesn't create loyal customers. I enjoy getting trial signups but the aim is for those people to like the site enough to rebill.
Never, ever! 2hp |

Its so easy (for a Affiliate Program) to spot the bullshitters from the real marketers...
we dont lie, we keep our tours saying what we can offer and we got almost no chargebacks and we keep our members recurring... thats the right way to go.

Nope. I may be guilty of slight exxxageration on gallery descriptions, but accuracy is the best policy.
that would only be a good solution if you don't want recurring sales....
Penis Growth Pills might be a place where you want to lie :D |
lie to get it ALLLL
i dont lie in promoting sites.....
You should always be honest, depending on your lie, you can get sued.

If you have to lie to make a sale then switch products. My reputation is worth more than a sale.
I've never lied in my life.
I don't lie at all about what the site has. I don't care if it makes me a few extra sales. The more dissapointed surfers we have, the less sales we will all make in the long run because they will not believe a damn thing we say and sure as hell not want to buy anything from us.
If you have to lie in order to get someone to join a site, that doesn't say much about the site you're promoting. Does it suck that bad that you have to lie to get people to join? If it sucks that bad and you have to resort to lying why the hell even promote that site? Move on to something that will give the surfer what he/she wants. |

I don't lie, I find it's best to just tell them what they are really getting
