WHY aren't you making money?
 

I've just spent 20 minutes with a client complaining about the state of the Internet, surfers and life in general. Basically his argument is that everyone on the net is looking for free porn and he can't make any money.

Every week someone puts up a thread, about how hard it is to make money on the net.

Then I see Mike_69 and his new car, and see the neighborhood he lives in.

Plus we had a website owner here in Czech for week shooting content for his own site.

He brought a four man crew, stayed here first class. Shot 5 days, in a location that is not cheap and paid the girls 3 times what we do $1,000 a day. Plus agents commission

He was shooting solo girl teeny and I think two girl. This is by no means his first visit, he also goes to Budapest. He shot 5 sets a day. So ended up with 25 sets that must have cost him $20,000.

You can only see the sets on his site, he does not sell them to mags or other sites. I could shoot the sets just as well exclusive for half the price.

All this in a market that "Does not make money"

Anyone want to take a guess at who it is?

So next time we see one of these posts, let's just tell them. "If you can't make money you are doing something wrong" This is a very good place to make loads of money.

You can really learn a lot about success by studying people that are successfull. One thing that ALS does is INVEST in their business. Compare this to webmasters that build their empires on things like free hosts and free sponsore pics. So many webmasters invest little ot nothing in their business and then wonder why they are making little or nothing.

Go to alsscan.com and join their site. I would estimate that have INVESTED at least a milkion dollars producing their content. I have shot more than a few of the same models and can tell you they paid triple what the industry norm is. But they still got their money's worth.

Also notice that ALS doesn't resort to all the trickery that is so common in adult. They don't have an affiliate program, popups, trial membership, or recurring billing. They just have produced quality material that people want to see and will come back for again and again.

Cameraman is spot on, so many in this industry think the way to a fortune is to spend nothing, give nothing and pile it as high as you can, for nothing.

Thing is every one can do that. Look at any of the top 100 sites and you will see again and again quality content.

Yes drive your traffic, have a nice design and all the other "little" things. But end line is keep the punter happy with content he wants to pay to see and you will have a better chance at success.

Are you saying the guys site is so good his customers renew without being prompted. A lesson there I think.

The point of this thread is in my first post, right at the top. We are always being told it's getting hard, everyone wants it cheap or free and we can't make any money.

Well not true, the next time I see one of those whinging threads I will tell them to go and see how the successful ones do it.

Try telling that to Sleazydream and the Hun, plus many more.

I think only 5-10% of the link list or tgp submitters make more than 10K per month. I am sure the percentages are allot higher with paysite owners.

And even if you make any money you just end up getting sued.

What Paul means is that if you spend 5 times the money that you usually spend on content you will make 10 times more money in the end.

So it a set of photos goes for $100, make sure you throw in a couple of extra $100-bills in there. You will automatically make more in the end somehow even if the content is the same.

Paul, you have to admit it is much harder then before, that's the main issue. That's why webmaster leave. There is no deeper meaning then that. Matured market and smart consumers give jack pots to those who can invest.

I think you are stepping into the 1% Vs 99% pool. 1% work their asses off and make money, while 99% stand around, bitch it is too hard and try and figure out how to bleed the 1%.

but you are working more for less return i bet. no point in staying in a dying industry when there are many thriving ones out there ripe for the picking.
