(~$22 a year = total of almost $500) Will you start begging on GFY to raise that cash?

First its 17 EURO, not dollars. Second - you have to pay for a 2 year period, if you used the "get the first year free" offer (check your terms). This making it around 22 bucks (this years average exchange-rate) x 10 x 2 years = 440, dollar .. and then the 16% Tax since the billing country is a EU country = 510,4 dollars

Currently, that domain is probably worth about 0 cents. However, in 10 - 15 years, it might be worth between $0.01 - $1.00.

No you cant. When you accepted the "first year free" you also accepted to let them charge you for the next 2 years, and they will keep your domain if you don't pay them. But I guess you already knew that, as clever as you are.
