Well worth the time and money, very funny and an excellent story about friendship and growing up, imo.

Can't wait to see it.. gotta wait till the wife can see it with me though, or she'll beat my ass...

Yikes? Clerks 2 was just about the biggest piece of shit I could have ever imagined them doing. It paled in comparison by far to Clerks 1 and even Clerks the Animated Series. While certainly it had its fair share of laughs, it just left me wondering what the fuck was Kevin Smith?s intention from scene to scene? It?s as if he wanted to take Clerks 2 and push it into a new direction, but it keeps bouncing back and forth like a hyperactive four year old. The scenes are VERY erratic because of this? it?s almost as if he pointed out every flaw in Clerks 1 and emphasized those while not hitting on any of the quirky uniqueness that the first movie had to offer. The movie didn?t push the envelope at all when compared to Clerks 1; Smith seems to have become quite the media pussy now.

Was it anything like the original? I thought the first was overrated.

Seems to be some mixed reactions to the movie, this does not bode well, even though I'll likely go see it at some point. I'm a big fan of Smith's movies well at least Clerks, Mallrats, and to a lesser extent Chasing Amy. After that it all started to go down hill and I was hoping that Clerks 2 would ressurect my faith in his movie making ability.

Ah well, at least it has to be better then Pirates of the Carribean 2.... :/

Never saw Clerks 1? Man, i'm a nerd through and through, of course i've seen it.

It was a PROGRESSION of the characters, and while the initial jump-off was about women, the story was really about friendship and growing up.

Kevin Smith is the modern jesus. He tells stories and we all sit and listen.

It was ok at best, I wasn't disappointed because I went in expecting something along the lines of what it was... A lot of the stuff was way too overdone IMO.

I liked it better then the first, too. I love Kevin Smith movies but always thought Clerks was overrated. I know the fanboys go nuts if you say something like that -

"o, wow, it was so indie and low budget and raw" - yea, and it looked like shit and the acting sucked. This one improved upon the original in every conceivable way and was still funny as shit. :2 cents: Definitely recommended. :thumbsup

The only reason I was able to sit through the first one was because everyone kept telling me it was so good. I kept waiting for something good to happen but it never did. And the acting was just one notch above high school drama club quality. Kevin Smith is so overrated it physically hurts me.
