hotlink movie protection
here's my htaccess file in my movie clip folder:
RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^$ RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} !^http(s)?://(www\.)?domain.com [NC] RewriteRule \.(wmv|mpg|avi)$ - [NC,F,L] this doesn't seem to work. i replaced domain.com with my own. what am i doing wrong? |
It won't work with movie files, sorry. That's for images only pretty much.
I use this script www.antihotlinking.com |
how do you plan on using the videos on your domain ? like there are some other ways to block outside access if you just plan on having fhg's , but these also might conflict with tgp submission forms that check for videos.
Like if you plan on submitting to tgp's with your fhg's most likely they will have a program check the fhg and see if the video links are valid, so any hotlink protection is going to need to give access to any bots that might check.. if thats not a concern there are some easy ways to do it.. |

I wish there was an easier way. |
