STD tests won't find it unless it's active. In other words, you can have it and it won't show up on an STD test. You can contract it likewise, even if you don't see any obvious signs of herpes on your partner. A condom helps, but is no definite safeguard. All that is required is skin contact (so your nuts or anywhere else - can have the virus on it and you can catch it that way). I'm concerned about contracting it:(

Well there are 2 types of sores people get on their mouth. The first type are canker sores. The second type are cold sores aka fever blisters. The first is normal and everyone gets them on their lips, tongue, or somewhere in their mouth, from time to time. The second type of sores is herpes known as (HPV1), but if transmitted to the genital area, will cause genital herpes (HPV2).
