Check out Terry Bozzio's kit. This pic doesn't even show all of his cymbals.

YARGH! Terry rules. I was just listening to "Walkin' in LA" LOL I'm a huge fan. Simon Phillips is another favorite. Neil Peart (of course) Mark Zonder... too many great drummers.

The Mahavishnu Orchestra album "The Inner Mounting Flame" was legendary in rock-jazz fusion. So many virtuoso performances by each musician...

http://www.passzio.hu/kepek/MAHAVISH...Flame-nagy.jpg

Cobham's first solo album, "Spectrum" also has a hallowed spot in my LP collection...

http://www.warnerjazz.co.uk/upload3/...pectrum_lg.jpg

While we're on the subject, although Cobham had parted ways with John McLaughlin by that time, in 1975, I saw a show featuring the Mahavishnu Orchestra performing "Visions of the Emerald Beyond" (which helped launch Jean Luc Ponty), along with second act Jeff Beck, who had just made the move to rock-jazz fusion with his "Blow By Blow" album. It was one of the most amazing shows in the hundreds of live concerts that I have attended.

At the end of the show, McLaughlin and Beck did a 20-minute jam that was incredible...
