Tiny house in rich area or big house in poor district, what do u prefer?

For the same amount of money, would you prefer to buy a big house with a lots of land in a poor neighbourhood or small home with no land in a rich sector?

Depends on if you want to be a prisoner in your own home or not.

Doctor Dre 07-30-2006 05:54 PM

I'd go in for something in the middle... nice aera with a medium house ;0

aflex 07-30-2006 05:55 PM

small house rich neighborhood... i like knowing my shit wont be broken into.. peace of mind, peace of mind...

besides having something nice in a poor area brings alot of jealousy..

Same here.

I wan a nice place inside that's close to everything.

Matt 26z 07-30-2006 06:19 PM

There is also another option... Out away from the city and suburbs in a mostly undeveloped area. Nice house, good neighbors.

MikeVega 07-30-2006 06:20 PM

I bought a smaller house in a great area .. but i have a big piece of land and will build up .. I just haven't needed the space yet

Crazy Carlos 07-30-2006 06:21 PM

i would go for small house good area. Smae i got now only the appartment is not that small but smaller then most houses here. But it is one of the most wanted spots in the city. i think the location is more important then how big your house. If you don't feel fine outside then you won't feel fine inside.

mattz 07-30-2006 06:24 PM

a NICE small rich house in a rich area

fuck I don't need a lot of space...currently live by myself and all i need is a room with my computer :)

No clue. The top one looks like it could be chinatown in any of a half-dozen US cities. The bottom one was an image result for "loft interior". I have always wanted to live like that somewhere :)

Smaller house in a better neighborhood... Don't have to deal with crime, kids running around all over and trashcans littering the sreets.

From an investment perspective, I'd go with shermsshack.

DTK 07-30-2006 07:57 PM

given those 2 choices, no doubt smaller house in good neighborhood. different story if you get out in the sticks a little bit

Vitasoy 07-30-2006 08:00 PM

Rich area.. peace of mind cause it would be a lot safer.

It ain't Chinatown. And it might surprise you to learn that this is in a very expensive neighborhood.
