catch22...if they didn't skin the board there wouldn't have been any mysql issues because they wouldn't have gotten this much traffic to their site

but since they did skin the board they are getting an abnormal amount of traffic, which they haven't seen before, so their mysql is acting screwy

I guess when all those girls go on Howard stern and they gets milliopns of hits in an hour and their systems get so bogged down the site won't come up, I guess that was a bad time to go on howard stern? no, it worked perfectly, just like it was supposed to

the only thing that needs to be done different, is that when you pay the kind of money that fleshlight did, you NEED to have a server tech on standby 24/7 for any issues

Nothin againts toomuchmedia and nats but it seems ALOT of companies have problem with mysql errors and nats

it doesn't really matter who is to blame for this, but the fact is they spent $25k (??) to skin the board and the site is down, pretty damn embarrassing for whoever fucked up here...

the skin looks great .. and the product sells. I think it maybe just a case of the skin being scheduled and the program running behind schedule ... in an effort to finish in time things get missed. I'm sure it will all pull together .. a lot goes into setting up a program and things will be missed.

heh, you'll be suprised...i don't personally know how much traffic GFY gets... but lets just say enough to cause VB to run slow, search to not work, and many other things... now imagine this... i've seen sites that get 200K+ unique visitors have less problems with vb because of traffic loads, then GFY has... so i'm gessing its getting hit hard....
