Good idea for an Adult site? Shall I turn my mainstream site into an Adult website?
 

I own the website http://www.ublam.com

I have been told by many people that if I turn it into an adult site I will make alot more but I am not sure if I should go down that road. I have put the website on sale over at ebay and it's going for just over $5000 with a couple of days left of the auction. But before I sell it, I want to make sure I am doing the right thing to sell it.

So my question is:

Shall I sell the website or cancel the auction and turn it into an adult site? Any other ideas are also appreciated.

Im sure EVERYONE knows where to look for porn it if they wanted it.

If your site has traffic, keep them, leave that site alone, and start a second site for adult.

Yes, but how hard is it to promote something like that in an adult world for cheap. e.g. I can't submit widgets to yahoo and the media don't do new on porn :( , I'm not really experienced in promoting adult sites either

You can buy clicked traffic from places like Traffic Holder, and can do the normal promotional activities of submitting it to search engines and considering link trades with other sites.

The domain "ublam.com" isnt worth much more than $50.

I did get an estimate of $15,000 for it since I made $3000 in 5 months. If I'm correct, the price of a site is 12 times the monthly revenue (a year's revenue) so that's $7200. Plus the design and the automation of the site which you won't find anywhere else, taking an estimate of $4000 that's $11,200. There are also the unique downloads which will add the price.

So methinks, you are trying to put people off? huh?

well man, i don't know how much are you experienced running non-adult sites, but do you think that those guys are buying it for almost 6k if it wasnt worth it? maybe you only have 500 and you would like to buy it for that sum:1orglaugh
