is it legal to grab a kid and drag him to mall security?
 

some 12 year old kid starts mouthing off to me in the mall yesterday. I ignored him but it kept going though my head, he really doesn't have a right to be doing this to me.

can i legally grab him by the scuff of the neck and drag him to mall security and make a complaint? would be EASY to do - he was probally only 90lbs

In most states, like it or not, it's called kidnapping. On top of that it is an offense against a minor, and you would end up getting labeled as a sexual predator.

for it to be kidnapping, you have to drag the kid more than like 15 feet I think and I'm sure that the office is farther than 15 feet....And if he didn't do anything sexual to the kid, he can't be labeled a sexual predator.

It's ironic kids conduct armed robberies and end up in juvenile hall for a week and back on the streets to the same environment where they thought it was a good idea to commit robberies. There's obviously a problem someplace - and maybe with parents - who knows.

Got a friend who does law shit in the UK - a very nice and charming guy, large build, with a big slash down the side of his face from past "adventures".

Totally independent of this - I chatted with a guy who ended up in a cab (nothing to do with the actual incident - just a passenger) - where his cab was ended up in a high-speed chased by the law (the driver had something to do with drugs) and eventually stopped. He described this "big guy with a slash on his face" camly get out of a police vehicle and walk across to the cabby and politely ask him to get out. He refused - "scarface" says this is your last chance - you have 5 seconds to comply. He didn't. His fist then went thru the cab window to get full access and then his head follows and gives the driver the "malky" and he gets dragged out :1orglaugh

The guy who was the passenger was shitting himself in the back and wondering if he was next for a header - but says he was treated with the utmost courtesy and "scarface" offered him a cigarette to calm him down.

I had to ask and found out later, it was the same "scarface" I knew - hard to not match that description :)

Probably not a good idea to put your hands on a kid at all. You don't have any legal rights, as far as I know, to drag somebody off because they're calling you names. It's not illegal to tell somebody off, but it sure is illegal to assault them.

I did one many years ago with 4 gangbanger punks that were cruising down Wilshire Blvd in Beverly in a beatup car and deliberately sideswiping other cars.

I was heading west late at night and they were heading east and went over the line into the wrong lane and nearly did a headon into my car. As I was doing a U to go after them since I thought it was a drunk driver, another driver who had been hit by them yelled out they were deliberately ramming cars off the road.

I had one of my K-9 trained dogs in the back seat so I floored it to catch up to them, zoomed in right behind them and lit there car interior up with my high power spot light using a wigwag motion, gave my dog his bark and hold command over the loudspeaker on my CB radio, so they could hear I had a police dog with me, and ordered them one by one out of the car over the loudspeaker and got them all down on the street.

I was surprised they complied but I guess between the light and the intensity of the K-9 bark, and the sounds of police sirens in the distant background, they figured they were being pulled over by an undercover cop.

It was one of the longest minutes ever waiting for the BHPD officers to arrive, but they got there pretty quick and were amazed I had all the fucktards controlled and all down on the ground already.
