Do a search for other full-body pictures and the animal doesn't look that weird at all. It looks like a bloated dog carcass that's been sitting on the side of the road.

You lose me REAL quick when the article says:
" Residents are wondering if an animal found dead over the weekend may be the mysterious creature that has mauled dogs, frightened residents and been the subject of local legend for half a generation." I've never heard of a canine living half a generation and the only mammal I know of that lives that long is an elephant and while yes, it's gray, I don't see a 3 foot trunk for a nose. There is also the giant tortoise and a Maccaw - but I don't see any feathers or a shell on that carcass so it's pretty safe to say it's not a cross-breed between a canine and any of those long living creatures. Guess that may be why anyone who'd be in a position to say what it was or wasn't declined to go look at (albeit sad to suffer such a demise) "just another dead dog". |
i dont buy the whole legend story. its obviously a dog. people and their wild stories, sheesh.
|
it look like a ordinary dog to me!!!

Wolf hyrid? Looks more like the size of a coyote than a wolf.
|
who knows...there are millions of acres of backcountry woods in Maine. I have spent some time up there backcountry canoeing for days at a time on the St. Croix, the Allagash , the St. John etc.
I have seen lots of moose and bear, & it wouldn't surprise me if some hybrid wolf / dog creature was running around. They certainly have a lot of room to roam up there. |
freaky shit!
|
looks like my neighbour
|
Spot! That was my Spot! been missing since march! fuck.
|

This is the first human/dog hybrid they've made in Russia using cloning and genetic modification. She has since had hybrid pups. As you can see they are very human looking. She originally had 6 pups but three died at birth.
http://z.about.com/d/urbanlegends/1/...t_is_it_sm.jpg Thought the dog in the original post in this thread kinda looked similar.. maybe the states is doing the same thing nowadays |
This is the "paw" of one of the dead pups
Notice the severe genetic mutation that led to it's death http://www.foogle.biz/gout/gout_disfigurement.jpg |
Did anyone notice the blue colors on it? That's really strange :uhoh
