Personal Trainer ???

Well - I shoot some of the hottest bodies in the world so I'm thinking it's about time I got my own body in shape. I'm not extremely over-weight or anything...but could definently lose 10 to 15 lbs and firm up my tummy a bit. I've been thinking about hiring a personal trainer to work with me a few days a week but have no idea what to look for in a personal trainer. Any of you guys ever hired a personal trainer? Can you offer any advice?

A person with a strong before picture, if someone is genetically blessed they may look good but are useless.

With a bawdie as twink as mine, you just KNOW I've hired personal trainers before.

Although, the best workouts I've ever gotten haven't been in the gym.

Cripe! :winkwink:

I'm a certified trainer. But I hardly have time to practice what i preach anymore never mind giving you any advice. Listen to Pornwolf if he happens upon this thread...from what I 've read he's the only one on here that knows what they are talking about.

good luck. stay positive. things will look great within the first week or two then start to look bleak. but hang in there because after 8 weeks you will be amazed. as far as looking for a trainer goes make sure they have a good certification. research their certification, ask them for before and after pics of past clients, and ask them for a work history or a resume.

I have been seeing a personal trainer 3 times per week.

Word of advice, see a guy.

I started of with a female personal trainer and she was hot, i could not focus, so i changed to a male trainer and it has been fantastic, i dont mean that in a gay way either.

Better than getting a personal trainer would be joining a martial arts club, like Aikido, but not playing cooperative to their bullshit stunts when you are the designated 'attacker'. After working your way first thru the women and children the sensei will eventually come up and 'help' you learn how to fall on cue. Slap him when he reaches for your wrist for he surely wont protect his head.

My personal trainer has tons of free videos online. I see him weekly and it helps a ton!

I think you could do that even by yourself alone. Good luck.

Hire someone who will kick your ass and will work on your core.

I have a personal trainer and it's great. You'd be surprised how much you might not already know about proper form and technique.

Personally, I looked for someone that had the sort of results I was looking for. Turns out mine was a champion body builder beforr a sheet of glass severed some nevers in his arm rending one hand too weak to work with huge weights anymore.

You want to look for someone who has a good build...if you're a guy look for a male trainer, females should use female trainers. Anyone of the opposite sex is too much of a distraction. You should also inquire about any athletic background that person might have, and any certifications that he/she has. I played b-ball in hs and college, so I know that most people that have had any type of college athletic experience will know how to push you like a tough coach...plus these type of athletes have spent almost their entire lives in the gym. You don't want someone who never worked out in a gym before they did their trainer certification, and I see a lot of these types of trainers in the gyms that I go to.
