Scientists flock to test 'free energy' discovery
sounds promising
You never know.
how nice that would be.. can you imagine.. no gas, electricity, batteries etc.
Worth looking into
100% Chance the guy is a crack head.
If its true I wouldn't be surprised if this guy all of a sudden disappears
Would be cool. But we'd have to rewrite our entire physics books. If the law of energy conservation doesn't work anymore, lots of things we've held as true would be wrong. So, it's highly unlikely that this works out.

Are you gonna put '2257 USC' on every post you make?

We know nothing. |
think it could run vibrators? that would be a great invention.
This theory has been around since the mid-80's to my knowledge.
Read about it years ago. Also a lot of people say it existed for a while but many energy companies and governments have made their best to keep this non-existant... We shall see :) |
I have read of this before as well. This would be amazing if they can get the ball rolling on it.
Magenetism has been used in propulsion technology for sometime.. Why not in the creation of energy? It only makes sense, and magnetism is an incredibly strong force (read: gravity)
It's the standard MO of these Free Energy magnet goofballs, announce they have a machine, get people interested, get lots of funding from wishful investors, spend years developing but never build a working model.

Free energy?

the blueprints have been out for years, just needed someone to actually try and make the shit: http://www.magneticenergy.org.uk/

Sounds like a great investment.

looks good, but big companies are prob ready to take it down :(

This is probably too good to be true. If this was so big and amazing, it would have massive coverage throughout the scientific world.
Why not patent it before losing control of the technology in a public process?
I?ve always been a hopeful when it comes to free energy, but the simple truth is there is no such thing. Any energy we get has to come from somewhere? we can?t get more than what we put in. Instead of using up valuable resources and minds on useless free energy products, we need to improve solar cell efficiency or seriously consider using tidal machines to capture energy (there is so much fucking energy from the oceans thanks to the moon? there has to be a way to get at that!).

Free energy, once the goverments and big business gets involved there will be no more "free" energy
pretty good info... tnx for the link :)
If it works, the oil companies will buy the patent and never release it, and sue anyone else who does.
*sigh*
"What we have developed is a way to construct magnetic fields so that when you travel round the magnetic fields, starting and stopping at the same position, you have gained energy," McCarthy said. Oh you don't say? And where exactly are you getting the energy to "travel round the magnetic fields"? Sounds a lot like moving a wire loop through a magnetic field to generate an electric current. Maybe you've heard of it - its called a generator and its been around for 180 years. |
