2257 USC

sounds promising

KRL 08-21-2006 10:42 AM

You never know.

Fucksakes 08-21-2006 10:43 AM

how nice that would be.. can you imagine.. no gas, electricity, batteries etc.

Drake 08-21-2006 10:44 AM

Worth looking into

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 08-21-2006 10:47 AM

100% Chance the guy is a crack head.

Big Red Machine 08-21-2006 11:50 AM

If its true I wouldn't be surprised if this guy all of a sudden disappears

godisdead 08-21-2006 11:56 AM

Would be cool. But we'd have to rewrite our entire physics books. If the law of energy conservation doesn't work anymore, lots of things we've held as true would be wrong. So, it's highly unlikely that this works out.

Yep ! Or some major energy company will buy the technology and we'll never hear about it ever again :disgust

uhhh, what he said.

Jarmusch 08-21-2006 01:08 PM

Are you gonna put '2257 USC' on every post you make?

Humans in 3006 will look back on our knowlege of 2006 and view it in much the same way we do 1006.

We know nothing.

ajrocks 08-21-2006 02:26 PM

think it could run vibrators? that would be a great invention.

jmk 08-21-2006 02:34 PM

This theory has been around since the mid-80's to my knowledge.
Read about it years ago.

Also a lot of people say it existed for a while but many energy companies and governments have made their best to keep this non-existant...

We shall see :)

WebairGerard 08-21-2006 02:40 PM

I have read of this before as well. This would be amazing if they can get the ball rolling on it.

LadyMischief 08-21-2006 02:49 PM

Magenetism has been used in propulsion technology for sometime.. Why not in the creation of energy? It only makes sense, and magnetism is an incredibly strong force (read: gravity)

MattO 08-21-2006 03:06 PM

It's the standard MO of these Free Energy magnet goofballs, announce they have a machine, get people interested, get lots of funding from wishful investors, spend years developing but never build a working model.

Newton was criticized too... but usually by those who had some knowledge
of his research... Unlike this instance..

Free energy?

At the very least, I think it is inspiring, interesting, and fun to follow these things.

Exactly what I was thinking... the shit won't be free.

StickyGreen 08-21-2006 04:13 PM

the blueprints have been out for years, just needed someone to actually try and make the shit: http://www.magneticenergy.org.uk/

tranza 08-21-2006 04:14 PM

Isnt that the sad fucking truth.

Sounds like a great investment.

I'm thinking political statement saying that this post or this like is 2257 compliant.

free4porn 08-21-2006 05:13 PM

looks good, but big companies are prob ready to take it down :(

Think so too.

wedouglas 08-21-2006 06:01 PM

This is probably too good to be true. If this was so big and amazing, it would have massive coverage throughout the scientific world.

Juilan 08-21-2006 06:03 PM

Why not patent it before losing control of the technology in a public process?

notabook 08-21-2006 06:03 PM

I?ve always been a hopeful when it comes to free energy, but the simple truth is there is no such thing. Any energy we get has to come from somewhere? we can?t get more than what we put in. Instead of using up valuable resources and minds on useless free energy products, we need to improve solar cell efficiency or seriously consider using tidal machines to capture energy (there is so much fucking energy from the oceans thanks to the moon? there has to be a way to get at that!).

Don't they have those reverse polarity trains that hover above the track?

dakota1358 08-21-2006 06:33 PM

Free energy, once the goverments and big business gets involved there will be no more "free" energy

nAtuRaLbEautY 08-21-2006 06:38 PM

pretty good info... tnx for the link :)

Xplicit 08-21-2006 06:38 PM

If it works, the oil companies will buy the patent and never release it, and sue anyone else who does.

High Plains Drifter 08-21-2006 08:50 PM

*sigh*

"What we have developed is a way to construct magnetic fields so that when you travel round the magnetic fields, starting and stopping at the same position, you have gained energy," McCarthy said.

Oh you don't say? And where exactly are you getting the energy to "travel round the magnetic fields"? Sounds a lot like moving a wire loop through a magnetic field to generate an electric current. Maybe you've heard of it - its called a generator and its been around for 180 years.

LMAO are you actually challenging him? K, can't stop laughing right now. :1orglaugh :1orglaugh
