Conservatives want hotel porn banned

Conservatives ask FBI to investigate hotel porn

Tuesday, August 22, 2006; Posted: 2:09 p.m. EDT (18:09 GMT)

NEW YORK (AP) -- Pornographic movies now seem nearly as pervasive in America's hotel rooms as tiny shampoo bottles, and the lodging industry shows little concern as conservative activists rev up a protest campaign aimed at triggering a federal crackdown.

A coalition of 13 conservative groups -- including the Family Research Council and Concerned Women for America -- took out full-page ads in some editions of USA Today earlier this month urging the Justice Department and FBI to investigate whether some of the pay-per-view movies widely available in hotels violate federal and state obscenity laws.

Burress and his allies have had some success regionally, pressuring about 15 Ohio and Kentucky hotels to stop offering adult movies.

Though unable to cite specific cases, Burress contended that the availability of in-room porn is making hotels more dangerous.

"As more and more of these (hardcore) titles become available, we're going to have sexual abuse cases coming out of the hotels," he said. "Hotels are just as dangerous as environments around strip joints and porn stores."

After all the battles I have had with these people over the years, lets be clear.
They want all porn banned and just choose to work on the issue in small pieces.
Taking away Mom and Dads fuck weekend watching porn in a hotel without the kids in the next room is just stupid.
As the chains make a ton of money of off this it will never happen.

It still amazes me how many people are still stuck in the olden days :disgust

Isn't it actual a fact that since porn is more widespread, cases of sexual abuse have FALLEN?

Brad Gosse 08-23-2006 06:43 AM

I love how they label hotels as "Dangerous" because they offer porn. Reminds me of the refer madness movie where pot smokers are portrayed as evil perverts after getting high.

Like porn turns you into a rapist etc. It's all bullshit.

Some of America?s most prestigious families have been profiting from porn and no one ever talks about it. For example, the Hiltons and the Marriott?s. I can assure you that they will not like a bill like this to go into place.

the only thing "conservatives" like more than telling other people how to live their lives, is money. So this will never fly.

Wow, who knew the enviroments around porn stores were dangerous.. I'll have to remember to stear clear of them from now on. :error

Of course zoning regulations and community activists like these guys always make sure no strip club or adult store is opened in their 'decent' neighborhoods, so they always get forced to the shady side of towns to begin with.
