finished reading the Davinci code

I liked the book but the ending was very weak to me.

dude, we're porn people...... we shoot pussy, we watch pussy, we fuck pussy. We dont read books.

So unless it was "The Vagina Code" by Dan Pussy, i doubt we'd be interested.

It was annoyingly similar..as was 'meteorite' and 'digital fortress'.

All had 'surprises' and 'surprises' so much that they ceased to be a surprise.. after the 2nd book I figured out his way of writing..and the 2 last books I red became annoying.

LOL, I'd like to read illustrated Vagina Code :)

Gunni 08-24-2006 01:51 AM

I found the book predictable and boring, and I knew all about how the christians implemented all the pagan customs into their religion, and I think that was more the attraction of the book than the weak story line :)

sicone 08-24-2006 01:58 AM

it started out so strong and full of detail.. then bam.. its like a fill in the ending you'd like to read

damonx 08-24-2006 02:58 AM

Is "meteorite" an earlier version of "deception point" (the one about the asteroid buried in the ice)?

Donny 08-24-2006 11:58 PM

I read a lot of books. And magazines. And whatever I can get my hands on. I'm a readin' fool. But I haven't read this one. The movie was good though.

Yes I agree, the main historical theories contained in this book aren't really that suprising or shocking to anyone who has done any modestly serious research on the history of Christianity or Pagan belifes and there are a lot of factual based books out there that cover the subject much better.

However, the phenominal success of this book has helped fuel interest in uncovering the truth behind centuries of propogander and misinformation which IMHO is no bad thing :thumbsup

mikeyddddd 08-25-2006 01:22 AM

I read it in just a couple of days two years ago because some of the historical information was interesting, but by the end it was pretty formulamatic.
