Thanks for your help but... Do you really think I haven't tried ? :winkwink: IT DOESN'T WORK WITH FIREFOX USERS AND NETSCAPE USERS ! They still can view fuskers images ! I tried it myself : HOW TO VIEW BROKEN AND BANNED IMAGES ON IXTRACTOR |
You just need to have your host block all traffic from any of fuskers domains.:2 cents: :2 cents:

You can also block empty referrers, though that might also block some valid users that are not sending referrers for whatever reason.

Yeah.. I wrote 2 times to webair regarding this. Looks like they coudn't help me :warning :disgust I wrote for the third time yesterday. They suggested a system they have called "link sentinel" I hope it prevents Firefox and Netscape users from viewing hotlinked images. They didn't write a word regarding this... Even though I clearly stated this was the problem. |

Webair told me they had to install Link Sentinal on my server.
########################################## LinkSentinel - LinkSentinel is the first, enterprise-class solution for stopping hotlinking. Designed as a high-performance Apache module, the software has negligible CPU/memory impact and works natively with load-balanced domain clusters. LinkSentinel is widely compatible with all media types and referencing content (whether static or dynamic) without requiring any changes to existing linking syntax or document structure. Most importantly, LinkSentinel fixes the security weaknesses of previous hotlinking solutions, while saving webmasters $ from bandwidth theft and copyright violations. ########################################## Looks like it is the only way to really stop this mad hotlinking. I hope it works. |
I thought they shut down Fusker.com and were trying to sell the domain name.

OK well... I had this installed on my server and it doesn't work ! :Oh crap I just logged into www.ixtractor.com with my Firefox browser and I could view all the hotlinked pictures from my sites. How the hell can we stop them ? I wonder if hosting companies really cares about these problem. More bandwith burned = more $$ for them. |
