Bound to happen sooner or later, he was always pushing the envelope and took far to many risks to be safe. Sad day though, apart from his over the top "strewth these things are really dangerous", the guy really really stood for what he believed.

RIP steve. He entertained a lot of people

Sami 09-04-2006 12:51 AM

GeorgeM 09-04-2006 01:47 AM

awesome guy :( :( :(

AsianDivaGirlsWebDude 09-04-2006 02:31 AM

Must have been a really freak accident, since one account I read reported only 17 fatalities worldwide on record from Stingrays.

I used to encounter Manta Rays frequently in Hawaii, and they were really nice creatures. Moray eels were the ones that scared me...

It was freak because

a) It's not easy to make a stingray hit you
b) It hit him directly in the heart.

A barb will fuck you up but it's not as easy to actually die from it when you have help in the water with you.

Basic_man 09-04-2006 08:02 AM

This guy was so cool, but ho so dangerous!

gooddomains 09-04-2006 08:02 AM

he was such a great guy

Drake 09-04-2006 08:16 AM

Anybody know what a stingray barb is? I've never heard of anybody getting killed by a stingray before.

Indeed. He lived an extremely dangerous life. But I'm sure he's happy at some point.
