cell phone tracking service in USA?
 

I know in england we have a service if you send a text to authorise it from a mobile phone you can track where that phone is at any given time on a website (I guess it uses cell triangulation in realtime). It is suppossed to be so parents can track where their child minders are and so on..

my question is do they do the same thing in USA specifically new york? and if so how do you authorise yourself for tracking?
