not that much difference

stickyfingerz 09-04-2006 02:57 PM

Thats not hummer. Thats an H2. Its just a Chevy Suv with a differnt body. An H1 still would of got clobbered, but not as bad.

I feel sorry for the people in the Hummer who died, but i'll never understand you American's love for big cars that do fuck all miles to the gallon. Before you say it - i'm no extreme conservationist, i just don't like the thought of owning a car that can only just push 1 MPG and is about as manoevrable as a tank stunk in the stench that Ann Coulter pumps out.

Unfortunately the trend seems to be spreading over here too (even if petrol does cost nearly 1 GBP, or almost 2 USD per litre) - in a recent BBC documentary i remember some woman saying "Well i drive a big car because it makes me feel powerful and i know other people will get out of the way for me".

I drive a small car. Since that day, i purposely don't get out of the way of big pushy cars. Bring it "Chelsea tractor" owners - i am your daily dose of karma.

The damage is not to bad on the truck? :error

The entire cabin looks to be dislodged from the chassis rails - the front has been completely smashed in with the front wheels hanging out? How is that 'not to bad' ?

Looks like they both were travelling pretty damn quick for that sort of damage to occur...

MrCain 09-04-2006 05:07 PM

That sucks.

s9ann0 09-04-2006 05:14 PM

must have been a head on

Digipimp 09-04-2006 05:16 PM

H2's are for bitches anyway, fake hummers!

Antonio 09-04-2006 05:22 PM

btw that truck is a fucking solid shit, I've seen some of them used in the mines in Bulgaria, I'm not surprised at all

rodney25 09-04-2006 05:44 PM

I'm wondering what that truck was hauling behind it. Chances are it was loaded with twenty thousand pounds of something so year, the truck went right through the hummer almost as if it wasn't there.

Ouch.

reynold 09-05-2006 01:19 AM

I doubt if anybody could survived. Looks like a crumpled paper.

yota71 09-05-2006 01:34 AM

The original Hummers where solid / Invinciable. When they started to mass market them and make them mainstream they degraded. The US military put some regulations on build and supply.
They didn't want the mainstream population driving around in small tanks. If your looking for safety buy a decommissioned military Hum v at an auction, or an Older model.

Magix 09-05-2006 01:35 AM

he hit the truck, it's normal...

Magix 09-05-2006 01:38 AM

abyss_al 09-05-2006 01:46 AM

that's fucked up :(

-you can't say "i'd rather be in a s500," because they are in complete different classes... you can't take an s500 4x4'ing... and it's double the price...

complete different style of vehicle...

i wouldn't trade mine in for anything... i have a blast taking my h2 truck the the limit and seeing what it's capable of doing... the fun i have alone is well worth the 10 mpg i get with it.

it all comes down to what you need the car for... people who get an suv for show and cannot handle a vehicle of that size and mass should think twice :)

MrMaxwell 09-05-2006 01:50 AM

Everyone with any brains know that the H2 is for white tie pretty boys
I saw once where an H2 lost to a 1500 pickup truck
