XP Sees only a single processor for a Dual Core Opteron. How do i fix it?
I actually need some computer help...go figure!
I have a Dual Core Opteron 180 running on an a8n32-sli deluxe motherboard. The bios + POST message both show 2 logical processors as they should but XP still sees only one processor. I go in to system Devices and then click Processors it shows Two processors. When i run apps like Cpuz or some of the AMD Tools they both report only one processor. My SMP apps run like shit compared to the other opteron 180 i got so i know SMP isnt enabled. Things I've Done: Fresh Install of XP Flashed To the latest BIOS For the motherboard MSConfig -> BOOT.INI -> Advanced to confirm /NUMPROC was not checked. Anyone care to shed some light on this problem of mine? |
