unfortunately being nice will more often than not allow you to be walked over, mistreated and ripped off. these days sadly it seems 'niceness' is seen as weakness.

Being nice doesn't necessarily mean being naive..
People can be very nice and still know what's going on around them..

True... Nice can be seen as a sign of weakness to some, and nice guys may need to be a bit more on their toes, which could mean that the nice guys can see the fox heading for the hen house sooner that the rest..

Kinda lends to the old addage.. "I'm one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, but if ya piss me off.................."
