10% Webmaster Referral - Does it matter

does it matter to you when your signing up to a new program if they offer a 10% webmaster referral fee ?

Are webmasters making money from getting other webamsters to sign up through their referral link

Discuss

OG LennyT 09-14-2006 08:50 PM

hmmmmmm.

squishypimp 09-14-2006 08:52 PM

when you first launch yes it does matter.

after that you are over promoted and all the big boys already are signed up.

jeffrey 09-14-2006 08:54 PM

Dude, just launch already, lol I saw two of your girls posted like 2 months back and have been waiting since.

I'll sign up and put you on my resource page regardless of the 10%, I find that the 10% is hardly every credited anyways

TheJimmy 09-14-2006 09:24 PM

I'd keep it running.

It's enticing for those little fish that know whales to refer them to you.

:pimp

KMR Stitch 09-14-2006 09:28 PM

It really depends on the type of program. I know that any program.

WEBCAMS/Dating/(emails) Are easy to get signups and EASY to convert/retain So, 10% is more $ in my pocket.

Other niches such as teens/bigtits A lot of people have cookie cutter sites I might get someone to signup and send 1-2 sales and that would be the end of it So I get 6.00 .

People always say why have people signup if you are promoting them.. doesnt that flood the market? and hurt your sales.. Answer is no. I don't think I can catch every fish in the sea. So I might as well catch a few and get a few % off other boats catch.

My Grammar is horrid.. but That should explain my POV

KMR Stitch 09-14-2006 09:29 PM

And batts.. YOu signed up under Me for DatingGold. Start pushing harder!!! ;-)

Please let me know which programs fail to credit webmaster referrals, so I can stop wasting my time and resources.

Quite a few CCBill webmasters fall into this category. :(

GeorgeM 09-14-2006 11:46 PM

yes, it does matter for me. 10% > 5% :)

Mr.Right - Banned For Life 09-15-2006 12:01 AM

Would it stop you joining a program if they did not have it ??

Juilan 09-15-2006 09:29 PM

It matters more than 5% so yes.

chaze 09-15-2006 09:39 PM

I used to look for it, but never made much from it so it doesn't matter anymore.

I would rather get a decent link trade instead and refer to a trusted company.

As someone said already its a problem with ccbill.

I dont know of any inhouse systems that screw it up. But the ccbill are hit and miss.

when you first launch you shouldnt have a referral program at all, most people are going to join if they're going to join. if you have good sites you dont need a referral program and people will sign up anyway. when i sign up to sites i only care if they have sites i think i can send joins to.

i had signed a friend up for a ccbill program and wasnt credited. i notified the program owner and they contacted ccbill and ccbill said there was no way they could add the person under my account since they already signed up.

ok deal.

My opinion is that you are not a very smart guy (see my post was obvious sarcasm)

EXPLANATION:
My opinion of you not being very smart is based on the posts that I see you making on this board. Since I don't know you this is the only info I have to base my opinion. You may be a real smart guy off of the boards who knows.

I am not sure if you intentionally give moronic opinions as you did in this thread, or if you really believe the statements you make? Don't know and don't really care.

As a program owner for a little over 4 years I found your post in this thread to be laughable. The 10% webmaster referal BIMINIBUCKS pays out is WAY more valuable to me now than it was when we started.

But hey this is all just my humble opinion. :2 cents:

:pimp

fallenmuffin 09-16-2006 12:05 AM

If the site looks good and the content is good I'm not not going to push them because of it but its a plus and worth having.

Exactly! :thumbsup

Dirty Dane 09-16-2006 01:02 AM

It doesnt matter promoting the paysites, but I won't help oversaturate a program without gaining something :)

martinsc 09-16-2006 01:15 AM

i love the 200$ JoinRightNow pays :thumbsup

The Ghost 09-16-2006 04:27 AM

I think the question should be does 5% or 10% really make a difference. Having some sort of webmaster referral reward just makes good business sense. It is the reason people mention your program when you're not around.

We offer 10% because we're a small company and appreciate our program being mentioned to anyone needing what out sites offer. Thank you for those that list IslandDollars for Asian, teen, exotic, solo girls, bikini and more :)

DaddyHalbucks 09-16-2006 05:46 AM

Intense Cash pays 15% for webmaster referrals.

Do any other proggies pay big like that?

:pimp

You'd be crazy not to have some sort of incentive inplace for webmasters to spread the word about your program. :2 cents:

Klen 09-16-2006 06:04 AM

Yes it is matter 10% sound much better then 5%

Zorgman 09-16-2006 06:52 AM

I would have to say a 5% or 10% referral is great for guys that run webmaster resource sites. Sure it's only a piece of the pie (hmmm. PIE) but hey, it all counts. :)

gooddomains 09-16-2006 07:02 AM

every penny counts

thats right ! what about 20% referral program ? :) exist ?

GeorgeM 09-16-2006 10:54 AM

where i can find 15-20% referral program ?

Doctor Dre 09-16-2006 10:56 AM

I've made some good money... but as an affiliate, I'd like the paysite to give me a 10 % raise better.

And GeorgeM, just htink about it... rev share program : 60 % (bigger aff get at least that), + 20 % ?

This don't even make any sence...

If I see your program has a good sites I will join it anyway. but if you don't have webmaster referral program I won't recommend it to others, so you'll get less potential advertisers than you could to.
