This is the "buildings" category. There are all kinds of projects from simple paper cars and houses to origami, planes, etc.

Not a parent, but that's pretty cool.

And after it's all done, you can teach your kid about the joys of wet modeling glue and a match. I might build one myself just so I can remind myself how much fun modeling glue and matches are :)
