Question to SEO experts

Is there a reason why I can get some very nice positions for great keywords on Yahho, and awesome traffic.

But with the same sites my Google traffic and position suck!

Is there a reason for that?

in a word, yes

GrouchyAdmin 09-18-2006 06:56 PM

Yahoo isn't Google.

You're welcome.

Edit: Oh, hey, 'sup baddog?

Yahoo! and MSN always seem easier - I'll see if I can get some friends into this thread for you :)

each engine has a different set of algo's ... so while optiomizing and submitting for one you may miss another

Ask the guy in that thread. He seems to have a good handle on it.

Ok, this was a dumb thread.

Any good tutorials about the differences on SEO between Yahoo and Google?

squishypimp 09-18-2006 08:22 PM

bump for the seo experts on the board :)

micker 09-18-2006 08:27 PM

do you have an xml sitemap and is it registered with google?

WiredGuy 09-18-2006 08:34 PM

Yes. the reason is they have different ranking algorithms.

Yahoo is no problem for me. Google on the other hand likes to shift my serps around all the time.
Google image traffic is a whole nother story they love my site, but the traffic is extreamly unproductive.
