Lets here it. Honestly, I belive that 95% of the people in this industry make less than $5,000 a month....

70$ so far. But I haven't really started, yet. So that's okay.

$400 in my first 2 weeks of actually trying to promote a program. So I'm almost breaking even with the money spent so far.

my best day ever was $1.68 (US Dollars) on adsense with my blog about ceiling fans. if i can get that up to 37.50 (US Dollars), i'll quit my day job. its very rewarding to build something.

thats the problem... too many bullshitters.. i dont understand why people need to play the i'm so rich game when they barely have 2 cents to rub together...

Anybody that work seriously on anything can make more then 10k a month without too much worries.

Here's the truth from me.

I make more than I spend on expenses (bandwidth, domain names, advertising, etc.)

I've never claimed to be someone I am not, but I am able to pay all my bills, and on time.

because idiots in this biz are attracted to the bullshitters. its always been that way... and the bullshitters are always many. its always been that way as well.

in the first couple years, everyone was making huge bank... and a precendence was beginning to be set where everyone was a player and if you weren't you were just a retard and were not to be taken seriously because it was quite easy to make money. today, the total opposite is true. most people are making almost nothing but most people are still trying to win friends and influence others by borrowing money go to shows, pay for meals they can't afford etc.

also, its easy to look big online. all it takes is a 500.00 design.

this is a business of relationships. no one wants a relationship with someone who has no track record success because there is just no benefit to it. no one wants to consider sending traffic to a program which is in reality scraping by on 5-10 sales a day (there has been and still are many of those)

further, its just human nature to want to associate ones self with success. in America, success is the one true religion. most americans dont even understand this because they have never been past the end of their street and never had time or money to travel because they were too busy trying to borrow enough money to buy more toys than the neighbor is able to borrow money for.

good thread for once :) at first glance i thought you had 5K and up lol i thought ohh fuck another bullshitter lol....i sincerly doubt that even 5% of AWM's that got in this biz after the easy gold ruch of pre-2000 are making it and 99.99% of the ones making it now are not making shit selling porn, they make money just like people did in the old days of the record biz, they are selling traffic and submit passes, and ad space. That's the reality, and unless you have massive backing or were here pre2000 you probably don't have much anyone will pay to submit too or buy ad space. Me personally i do ok, make enough to pay the bills and do it fulltime now, and think i will make more as time goes on, but it's no get rich quick scheme.

i admit it, i make shit in adult, i failed at it, i suck at it, i really don't care, it was worth the fun i had doing it though... i was lucky to make $3k a month with my best website doing its best traffic and sales wise, but my dumbass sold that for $2k...

I'm not in the gran frommage category with Legendary Lars et al, but I'm not living off of government cheese either. Put me in the middle category, which I achieve only by working like a hamster running on a spinning wheel.

I do almost everything myself...concepts, photography, video, post-production editing, web design, site updates and maintenance, marketing...also I never spend more than I make, and I try to make wise investments, so I remain financially secure.

Basically, whatever success I enjoy comes from being the hardest working man in 'ho business, and to be honest, I don't mind that.

ok .. seriously... i have alot of years in this industry and i never talk turkey but we bill about 500K a month right now .. i think that might be good but i do not know for sure... and i will post the screen caps if you think we are lying .. we pay our top affiliates 10K-20K a month ..

If we are talking gross income, yes I make significantly more, but I have a pretty high overhead too (model fees, travel, locations, tradeshows, equipment, office lease and related expenses - phone, utilities, hosting, etc), it all adds up (fortunately it's also tax deductable).

I drive a modest car, live in a modest (almost paid for) house, and live a moderate lifestyle. I feel fortunate that I love what I do, and I can enjoy what free time I have doing the things which I enjoy (spending quality time with my wife, playing guitar, playing tennis, reading, watching movies, and of course screwing around on GFY).

I aspire to be more successful, but I have a long way to go to achieve the level of success which I desire and strive for day by day, therefore humble suits me fine for now.

hey if you can pay for all that and still operate then you are ahead of the game big time .. i have seen alot of programs/sites fail with the same money .. stay humble...

If you count my sites AND my DVDs (3 DVDs a month) AND the scenes that I sell to other DVD companies...
