CAZENOVIA, Wisconsin (AP) -- A principal was shot Friday in a rural Wisconsin school, and a suspect was taken into custody, a sheriff's captain said.

All the children at Weston School were reported safe, Sauk County sheriff's Capt. Michael Haifemann also said.

The principal was apparently shot several times, Haifemann said. The principal's condition was not immediately known.
