ccbill - one problem after another - any alternatives
Yesterday i check my mail box, and see an email claiming that they can't join my site. I get one of these every once in a while so i check it out...and yeah sure enough the ccbill join link fails. This is several hours after the the email had been sent. I check the stats and the form hits are way off. Actually they could not be more way off 0% of form hits went to submit. Yep 0%, over the last 3 years it's averaged 25% form hits to form submit and around 75% convert.... never have i seen less that 15% but 0% WTF.
This is getting to be a pain in the ass, and if you get more sales with your backup (not in cascade) than with your primary on a regular basis you know there is a problem. So any alternatives out there? |
Don't quote me on this, but I don't think the problem is directly related to CCbill, there have been similar issues with "form hits" with all billers yesterday. Yesterday was one oddddddd day my friend.

thanks for the feedback, and i agree it could have been a strange one of kind of day, but i mean 0% when i've never ever in 3 years seen less than 15% and average 25%?
also the back-up biller which is not even in a cascade...the surfer has to go back to my site and click the other biller and go through the entire process again ...has been getting more sales than usual the last few weeks. oh well , just have to endure this painful time and hope it passes....however i'm almost ready to give up ccbill for a while and try some others. It's strange how few 3rd party billers seem to be around. There needs to be more competition really i mean 16%.. WTF, imagine if i was paying this for my mainstream sales. We get a ton of fraud attemps since we sell consoles and games but with everything including insurance it's around 5% through our merchant account. I know this is not all the billers fault but i'm certain they don't pay anything like this. Am i the only one paying 16% ? do you guys get hit with that or did you haggle them down? seems a fucking hiddeous percentage really. TBH i've not really noticed the price of joining and adult site rise in the last 7 years since i've been pushing porn if anything they have dropped. How the hell do average sized programs even survive under these conditions add to that the dollar dumped out and housing has gone through the roof. I mean really only the large program owners that live in the US can do adult as their only income? |
Hey Guys,
As always, you can contact us anytime day or night to look into any billing related issues affecting your site. As far as form hits go, we don't have any known issues. However, we'd be happy to look into this further. Please contact the CCBill Client Support department if you need further assistance. Adam K CCBill Client Support [email protected] 1-800-510-2859 |
lds, a join page link not working is VERY unusual, unless its maybe a network issue, if you want to check this out, i would get with Client Support to have the issue looked at.
if you want to find out what happened... |

Paycom ratios were great yesterday. We temporarily moved CCbill to second position in the cascade.
**nothing negative against CCBill at all, they are still great :) |

Even though I set direct merchant accounts I consider CCBill to be the prime 3rd party biller around. Their longevity and solid business model makes them about the only 3rd party I'd trust to still 'be there' in the coming years.
That being said - if you'd like to try a direct merchant account with much lower rates, feel free to hit me up for details :-) |
u ccbill guys have icq or something?

I would actually say something weird has been happening for about 5 days now with most processors. Everything is back rolling today for me. CCBill is doing great.

I've had lots of problems lately, but not ccbill... thank god!
