Why no post about Sexsearch?

Do they post here?

I have seen their banner here before. They were doing the same thing (from what I understand i may be wrong) that AFF was doing. Seems like AFF is getting 99% of the flack for it.

So can we give sexsearch a little love ?

Anyone from sexsearch post here ?

BradM 10-13-2006 11:04 PM

They post here.

You know I haven't seen any Imlive post or webcams.com post in the last week either..... where did everyone go ? lol

TampaToker 10-13-2006 11:51 PM

sexsearch is just a rogue outfit. Do they even have 1, just 1, real female profile on there? Unlike aff which does have plenty of legitimate female profiles, sexsearch is a joke.

the contest threads I believe were started a while back.

Any new posts from these guys since all of this broke. I am not even 100% sure if Imlive or webcams.com is doing it themselves or their affiliates, but from the snap shot I saw of the keywords being bid on, their urls were on the list. Just curious if they would be willing to respond to this.

Sexsearch was worse then AFF, their pop up came up a lot.

GonZo 10-14-2006 03:50 PM

Were they forced too?

they are wondering if they can use the same defense as lars (who is bragging in another thread about owning domains since 95) that they just thought it was "adware" and they are "looking into it" - two statements which really mean "i think you people are idiots and will forget about this in two days anyway" and "fuck you, we aren't going to do a damn thing about it because you people are idiots and will forget about it in two days anyway"

:)

As you know that bragging about owning domains since 95 means very little to me as I hold one since 93.

Pretty lame move really.

It will take more than 2 days.

All will be forgotten with promises of free drinks, party invites and sign up bonuses.

WiredGuy thanked SexSearch for tickets the other day and was replied to by a couple people from their company, so they do read and post on the board.

RawAlex 10-14-2006 07:56 PM

I am sure that the sexsearch people read this board, but I am also sure that they don't give a rats ass what we think... they are making their money the old fashioned way, popping up consoles over other people's sites.

s9ann0 10-14-2006 08:00 PM

that is so out of order

wanna have a little fun? create a fake profile with a picture of a gross looking, homeless meth addict with text like "i have done 25 years in prison for raping goats" and so on... then watch all the hot, young girls send e-mails EVERYDAY like "hey babe, i think you're cute...."

I have added my 2 cents to several threads, pointing out that the focus was becoming too narrow: not only in sponsor terms, but in creating the impression that Zango was the only scumware company. Come to that, the clowns who promote scumware installs have also got off very lightly.

That said, I think the people who have been keeping these threads alive need to recognize that the broad message has now reached everyone who wants to hear it. Without some direction and focus, this will just fizzle away in a few more days. Even if a few stalwarts try to ensure it doesn't, they are going to be repeating themselves and preaching to the choir.

So far this is just another skirmish in a war which isn't going to be won for another 5-10 years. I'm not downplaying its importance, because at least within the confines of GFY, the response has been more encouraging than when similar topics have come up in the past. But unless we are willing for the scumware customers to breathe a sigh of relief a few days from now and carry on doing business as usual, this needs to be raised above the level of what someone implied earlier today was just another GFY p*ssing match.

I know the issue has been brought up on other boards. But on some it has barely been mentioned and on others it soon drifted away. There are many serious webmasters who don't come near GFY, so that's one thing which needs a solution.

It has to become counterproductive for anyone to work with or benefit from scumware. That isn't going to happen via reasoned argument and I seriously doubt there are near enough people willing to jump on everyone associated with scumware, every time they stick their heads up. If this is going to be tackled at all, there has to be a way to identify who will make a sustained effort and then to pick targets for them to focus on. Much beyond this point, a few people taking random potshots here and there isn't going to have any further impact.

you underestimate my creativity and vindictiveness. This is round 2, we will let it run its course then we go to round 3 which promises to be just as effective if not more effective then what has been done so far. :winkwink:

I am pacing myself for a 10 round fight btw ;)

Jayeff, there are many conversations going on behind the scene that cannot be posted on a public forum. This is FAR from being the end of it.

The journey has just begun.

You really don't want to know my reaction to that, so I shall spare you. It's time I gave my keyboard a rest anyway...

Not sure what you were going to say, your reply kinda rings a tone of sarcasm, but we're on the same side here.
