Lars deleted his as soon as I let him know - 30 seconds and they are gone, now that has to be a record!! :)

ClickCash, Nasty and Maximum Cash still havnt responded - no surprise there.

Those ads were from 2005!!!! It doesn't mean that because the ads still look active today that they are. I had contacted Ben Edelman about this and this is what he said to me:

"You shouldn't make too much of my report of March 2005 targeting. In
general affiliate links and ad-tracking links continue working forever, even
when a campaign ends, unless the campaign is terminated "for cause" (e.g.
for fraud). The relationship might be ongoing, but it might not be. "

I contacted MaxCash myself when I found those ads on Ben's site - MONTHS AGO. They dealt with it.

I contacted Nasty Dollars and they totally ignored me.

Damian, you're NOT stupid and you KNOW the answer to that question.

Will's findings when he first posted were CURRENT. He had just got the popups THAT day - NOT OVER A YEAR AGO!

ZANGO came out and blamed in on AFF, no one else did. If Lars hadn't said it was true but never said a word about stopping it, he wouldn't be in the middle of the fire.

And the fact that the links are still active does NOT mean that the ads are still running. Before I made a fool of myself after I found those ads, I asked Ben about it earlier this year, then I contacted the sponsors to let them know that it happened in 2005, not today or yesterday.

If you really want to know if the ads are still running, install exact advertising on your computer and happy surfing.

There are more AFF links on that page you provided that are still up and running just fine, than the few that are no longer working.

Im not sure why in that case we are bashing AFF.

Lars has been the only one that has stepped up and done something about it....

I think AFF gets a lot of the blame because anytime a warez, torrent, image hosting, spyware, etc.. site gets mentioned, AFF is usually the sponsor that pays them and supports what they're doing. No one is surprised to see AFF ads on these sites.

Then people like yourself, going out of their way to defend them for their support of Zango (or so it seems) is met with others who respond against it. Either way, in doing so you keep the focus on AFF.

I've seen Missie posting about this on the MaxCash board months ago.

What exactly has he done? Said that his company does it, and that they'll continue to do it.

In fact, there have been a few companies that have said they won't have any part of this kind of thing. Call me crazy, but that sounds alot more like "doing something about it" to me.

Not necessarily true. I said in a previous post that it doesn't mean because the links are still active that the ads are still running in that spyware application, no more than it means that the affiliate is still in the program. The only way to know that for sure is to install exact advertising and test it yourself.
