I currently have direct tv with tivo's
is Dish network better ?

my neighbor has dish network and his shit is screwed up 20x more than mine. My DirecTV only ever has issues in extremely bad thunderstorms. But I've never had Dish Network personally so I can only go by how much he bitches :)

I have Direct TV and I hate it, if it rains or the wind is blowing hard I have no TV.:( I can't wait till my year is over so I can get cable again.

No problems with DTV here. What kind of signal strength do you get? Could be that more then anything. Call and complain if it is bad, they will have a installer fix it.
