Bangkok, Thailand (AHN) - A zoo is planning to show "porn" videos for its six-year-old male panda to encourage breeding in captivity. A pair of pandas have been innocently living together at the zoo in the northern city of Chiang Mai since arriving from China in 2003

"They don't know how to mate so we need to show the male how, through videos," panda project chief Prasertsak Buntrakoonpoontawee told Reuters.

He said Chuang Chuang, the male, would be played videos on a large screen when he might be in the mood.

"We'll play the video at the most comfortable and intimate time for him, perhaps after dinner," Prasertsak said. The zoo hopes that Chuang Chuang would be able to use the techniques on Lin Hui, a five-year-old female.

The zoo will soon be hosting a four-day international panda conference that will attract 200 wildlife and panda specialists from around the world.
