To me, the question would be more; would you rather die suffering from a cruel desease in pain for months or years due to your lousy diet and life habits or would you rather keep your sanity and health for as long as possible and quietly die in your sleep... Id go for the second option. :2 cents:

that assumes your health is fine up until those 5 years and then begins a serious decline. however, dying 5 years earlier due to poor diet would (in most cases) mean a decline in health beginning 5 years sooner.
