How does one explain this
My blog normally sits around 1500 uniques per day on average.
Yesterday it shot right up to 14,100 uniques How can there be such a big change in the space of one day |
Somebody's been making thier sacrifices to the google gods..

Being the stats guy that I am I look very closely at traffic. You have to monitor much more than just how may hits in you get. You say it is a blog site so there is a possibility that someone liked something you wrote and placed a link to your web site. After a few days it will go away. If it stays high than you have to look at maybe your page was picked up by a search engine or your SE rank might have changed. No telling?

Should be easy enough to check the referrers to see where it's coming from.. unless it's no-ref traffic.
