vegasdude 07-15-2002 04:56 AM

[Labret] 07-15-2002 05:04 AM

Yey, wow, ooooh aaaaah. It only took the combined forces of several small insignificant shithole countries and a bad president to equal a dollar.

Dont get used to it Nigel and Pierre, I am sure your efforts will prove fruitless in the long run after we out this down syndrome baby we have for a president.

vegasdude 07-15-2002 05:06 AM

all i can say is buy all the dollars now and save em up :winkwink:

This is only the beginning....I would have expected it would take
a lot longer.....this went really fast...don't forget the economic
climate in Europe is also very low...just look at the stockmarkets.

After such a big change of changing currency in multiple countries
and more to come....to catch up with the US that fast WITHOUT
lowering the interest rates like greenspan did in the US or what's
the guy's name....is quite amazing.

Then of course Europe has a true open market....we don't ban
foreign steel or have import/export limits to protect our businesses
like the have in the US.

The downside is that I get less euro's for my porn dollars which
is not that good....but fuck it....I have a dollar account with my
bank since I also do business in the US I don't have to worry
about exchange rates...I keep my dollars seperated and use it
for the US...trading hehehe.

Unless of course the Euro keeps climbing....but that's something
I don't need to worry about now...Congratiolations to Europe
we might be shitty little countries but at least we don't need
artificial policies to keep our markets standing....endlesly lowering
interest rates and import/export limitations always break up
sooner or later.....seems like that is happening right now...

Internext will be cheaper this year for us Europeans than ever
before hahaha

absolutely. and the slower that happens, the better...

JOP 07-15-2002 05:50 AM

I remember back in ´94/95 when I would get $1 for only 1,4x DM

Now that was sweet. I was shopping like crazy :)

Right now I hope the 1 = 1 will last forever. It makes it a lot

easier for all of us to bill customers on multilanguage sites.

Michael O 07-15-2002 05:53 AM

I´m European and I would like that $1=?1.2 This way my paycheck would be bigger than it is now!
In the last 5 month I´ve lost 10% of my earnings due to the weak dollar!
One thing I don´t get is why European webmasters is cheering about this!
Its not a happy day its a sad day!

I like this stronger Euro trend because it brings the smaller european countries into the American Capitalistic mindset. They will get confident and want to buy more. Then we will inflict an endless barrage of McDonalds, Kentucky Fried Chicken, & Burger Kings on them. Sooner or later they will be so ingrained with the American way of life they will be softend up to our country being the head of the one world government that the joining of the 2 major currencies, the dollar & the euro, will create.

It's not conspiracy, it's just the way capitalism works.

Just stating the facts man. Just the facts.

justsexxx 07-15-2002 06:13 AM

mmm 1 dollar 1,0029 euro.

It's good for Europe, but not for me. I think you better could live in Poland or so, and I would be a rich man :)

Trax 07-15-2002 06:18 AM

well the problem for the us guys is.... the bad times for the dollar are NOT over yet.... there is much more to come...
just a note for those who dont know
greenspan is going to talk about stock exchange & stuff this week... might be an interesting speech... worth to watch i think

vegasdude 07-15-2002 06:21 AM

Tex Willer it will...

I have seen this so many times....

ServerGenius 07-15-2002 06:30 AM

European webmaster....go to your bank and open a dollaraccount.
That way you don't have to exchange dollars to Euros...use the
dollars for buying content or whatever you need from the US.
Keep an eye on what's happening with the dollar you can always
decide to exchange them....and you don't have to exchange
check by check which will save you money anyway...a dollar
account doesn't cost anything with a lot of banks...so do your
self a favor and open one...

This sucks

Lensman 07-15-2002 08:27 AM

Bad time for Americans to travel to Europe. With our stock market and currency way down, it's amazing that home prices keep rising instead of the other way around.

zip 07-15-2002 08:44 AM

Bad for Americans?

I make 15% less profit compared with about a year ago.

Captain Canada 07-15-2002 08:45 AM

6 months ago you could pull in almost plus 65% from US to Canadian now I'm lucky to pull 52%.

Hopefully the US economy will start to flurish again soon.

zip 07-15-2002 08:48 AM

The sooner the better

It's great to see all the europeans laughing & cheering. Next time you need a bail out from a hitler blitzkreig, lemme know i'll make sure to sit back & laugh as he cooks your asses.

Instead Europe simply illegally subsidises their industries to make the US ones uncompetitive.

Phil21 07-15-2002 09:52 AM

Don't worry, dynaspain only listens to what he reads in the press, and of course also puts his little slant on it.

the steal subsidies suck, no doubt. But to say the EU doesn't subsidise tons of shit (uh, try beef, grain, etc. etc. etc.), is just turning a blinds eye.

Down with all tax subsidies and trade barriers. Not until you can say the EU does non of that shit, will I start to bitch real loudly about anything the US does similiar. What the US is baby shit compared to what the EU has been doing for years.

Of course, dynaspain is one of those idiots that is so blinded with his "america sucks" rage, that he won't acknowledge the same and worse shit is happening over there. :)

Gee, I was in Europe once when a buck bought eight french francs, four swiss francs and I cant remember how many deutschmarks.

Eventually I guess we'll see the dollar buying three or four euros.

h0st 07-15-2002 10:24 AM

Very true, I am in the process of buying an apartment, here in Boston, even the shittiest two bedroom ones are like $240,000 and I am not talking about the houses which start at like half a mill.
