Sea cucumber. It was basically a foot-long worm on a plate with the consistency of bacon fat. 2hp |

I forget what it was called, but it was the Korean version of jerky.
They dry this fish on the beach and it tastes like crap. Totally ruined a great dinner, I should have listened to her. |
there was no menu at the hotel in cambodia. you ate what they served you.
the first night was tortoise soup served in the shell. I got to watch the whole process from slaughter to dead tortoise on the table. a couple of the prostitutes came over from across the street and ate with us. the next morning we visited the remains of Pol Pot's house. i saw his shattered toilet. i saw Pol Pot's pot. |
I have some rotten soybeans, grass hoppers and pickled ant in the fridge right now.
The Balut is the worst though. I paid a hooker in the PI 50 cents one time to eat one on the street. I think they inject vinegar in to the egg to kill and pickle the chick ? |
Not sure how strange it is, but... goat. It was disgusting.
|
sheepshead, eyes and all. Its a delicatesse in some parts of Norway.
